Family ski area Meran2000
Have fun skiing in the sun and the snow on the high plateau above the Meran basin (Hafling accommodation). From December to the end of March pure snow pleasure awaits practiced and beginner skiers. When spring arrives in Meran and the almond trees are blossoming, skiers can still enjoy winter pleasure at Meran2000 on the best prepared pistes.
Organised torch-lit hikes offer diversity, on Fridays there is the illuminated ski and toboggan piste (Piffing – Falzeben) and the snowboard park. Snow-making facilities for all pistes provides snow-assuredness, and the baby lift and ski kindergarten make it ideal for a family holiday.
Winter hiking, Riding
You can discover the snow-covered winter landscapes around Hafling on winter hikes, on walks, extended snow-shoe hikes or on the back of a good-natured Haflinger. The stables offer riding lessons for beginners and the more advanced, hourly and day-long rides, pony rides and horse-drawn carriage rides.
HAFLING in the Meran region
Pferdenarren is a picturesque village in Hafling in the Meran region, probably best known as being the homeland of the popular Haflinger. This town is especially ideal for family holidays, indeed there are wonderful opportunities for hiking and for riding, making for pleasant relaxation. In Winter on the easy pistes in the ski area Meran2000 there are lovely ski runs. And there are really nice places to stop off for a bite to eat, which are open all through the year.
In summer or during your winter holiday Hafling has a variety of appealing activities on offer. The wonderful surrounding area can be discovered on hikes or walks, via challenging tours to the summit, by mountain bike or on horseback. You can then enjoy the dreamy views to the surrounding enormous mountain ranges, such as the Ortler group, the Dolomites and the Ötztal Alps.
