RIED in the Tyrolean Oberland

Winterurlaub Ried, Rodeln
Tiroler Oberland, Skiurlaub

Right in the middle of a winter paradise -  a winter holiday in Ried:

Thanks to its central location in the heart of the holiday region of Tirol’s Oberland it is the perfect starting point for top ski areas. With one ski pass, "SKI 6", a wonderful winter world of 6 ski areas and 340 kilometres of pistes in total, opens up.

The family ski area of Ried-Prutz-Fendels is easy to get to via the 8-seater cable car. The 14 kilometres of pistes open up family-friendly and demanding ski runs with special attractions for children and snowboarders.

Ski fun in the Tirol Oberland!

Above Ried/Prutz you are immersed in "Tirol’s new ski dimension". An extensive area of pistes up to 2700 metres altitude provides runs of all difficulty levels. An absolute guarantee of snow is promised in Kaunertaler Gletscher: wonderful ski runs across sunny slopes and some genuine "tasty treats".

Cross-country skiing in Tirol – the region around is also a cross-country paradise with glacier slopes, night-time tobogganing and skiing. Guided winter hikes and snow-shoe hikes, ice sport options and superb night-time shows round off the range of activities on offer.

So close to the sky – a summer holiday in Ried

The idyllic holiday village of Ried, surrounded by the picturesque mountains of the Ötztaler Alps and the Samnaun group is a hub in the heart of the holiday region of Tirol’s Oberland and Kaunertal. Ried scores points with its guests thanks to its dreamy bathing lake, breathtaking cable car across the ravine at Fendler Bach, impressive Alpine pastures and wonderful hiking trails.

With its down-to-earth restaurants and specialist shops, Ried is one of those towns in Tirol whose village character has been preserved and has a vibrant village centre. The central location and proximity to the border triangle area makes Ried the starting point for excursions into Engadin in Switzerland, to Südtirol and to the capital, Innsbruck, which is just 90 km away.

Hiking in the Tiroler Oberland, sheer bliss!

A hiking holiday in Ried - the valley hiking trail "Via Claudia" along the Inn heading for Tösens, the Herrensteig path between Wiener and Belvedere Hütte, and also the over 100 m high "Fallende Bach" closed to Anton-Renk-Hütte makes Ried a special experience for guests and locals. Ried is more than just a holiday destination; it has become a second home for many longstanding guests, and remains so for life.
