Landeck Castle is on Via Claudia Augusta and was probably constructed in the first half of the 13th century on the cliffs protruding high above the Inn, by the counts of Ulten. These days Landeck Castle is the emblem of the city, district museum and cultural centre.

The 3.535 metre-long run lasts 10 -12 min and is even designed to operate in less-than-pleasant weather. In the event of heavy downpour (rain, snow, etc), special hoods are fitted onto the Alpine Coaster’s cars. Alpine Coaster rides at Imst are therefore guaranteed all year round!

This glacier mummy discovered in 1991 originates in the 4th millenia before Christ and made Ötztal famous over night. Based on archeological investigations, "Ötzidorf" came into existence in the county of Umhausen, which is where visitors learn all about life from that epoch.

Berneck Castle

Late Gothic styled Berneck Castle was already built in 11th century. It is located at the very entry of the Kaunertal valley on a rock, which is about 130m high. Several rulers and owners used to rebuild and parlay it again and again. Only because of the fantastic and marvellous view you should not miss it!

Right at the creek "Lötz" in Zams, close to an ancient forge,you can discover the secret about the myth of the "Zammer Lochputz". Between the mighty rocks you can climb up to a cave and at the end of it there is a waterfall, where the "Lochputz" is watching over the young water nymph.
