Summer holiday in Sterzing - Hiking, mountain biking, rafting...

Start from Sterzing and take the old military roads and forest paths for day and half-day tours by mountain bike. As well as a hire and repair service, there are also guided tours.

It is only a 5 minute walk from the pedestrian area in Sterzing to the valley station for the 6-seater cable car on the Rosskopf. Once you are up at 1860 m and depending on how the mood takes you, you can be active or just enjoy the sun’s rays.

On the Rosskopf there is a variety of opportunities for sport, fun on the pistes and winter fun; as well as the lift facilities, there are snow-shoe hikes and toboggan runs (9.6 km long, snow-covered family toboggan run into the valley).

You will find the best of conditions for cross-country skiing on the 100 km of slopes. Insider tip: Pfitscher Hochtal with 25 km of prepared slopes. Ice-skating is also possible on the natural ice rinks, as well as in the ice rink in Sterzing, while for Tennis lovers there is a hall available.
